1. You will work in a cooperative group of four students. Your group needs to divide up the roles between your four members. If you can not easily decide who will take which role, try "rock-paper-scissors" .

  2. Each assigned role has its own starting point in the webquest. Please start at your assigned role and fill out your "Making Mountains out of Molehills" form. (each person has their own form)
  3. Complete your forms by going to each step of the Webquest and answering the questions.
  4. Use the Microsoft "Encarta 2000" disk and locate the "plate tectonics world map" image and save it to your disk.
  5. Write down the keyword you used for searching for the image, the name of the program and date of publication on your paper.
  6. Use the Microsoft "Encarta 2000" disk to locate the image of a subduction zone.

  8. Open the "Making Mountains out of Molehills" Powerpoint template on your disk. As a group of FOUR, start filling in the missing information. You may add more information that you have learned and found to be interesting.
  9. Complete the "Tectonic Plates Lab" activity and import at least 2 images from YOUR group's experiment into the presentation.
  10. Spell-check your entire presentation.
